Welcome to The Neal Egan Memorial Club

All roads lead to Sligo on the July bank holiday weekend to attend the event that had made the name Neal Egan synonimous with quality Fords of all shapes and sizes.

The Neal Egan Run and Show was set up to commemorate the memory of our dear friend who we lost in tragic circumstances in July 2007. An avid 'old school Ford' man Neal had a particular affinity for the mark 2 escort of which  he had an encyclopaedic knowledge. We quickly outgrew our original venue and now in conjunction with our new event partner The Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa, Ballincar, we have the capacity and facilities to cater for participants and fans alike.

The show format consists of a static show followed by a run of approx 70k which we have varied slightly year on year to incorporate some of the best local scenery and driving roads.

Needless to say it's back to the hotel afterwards to discuss the days events over food and liquid refreshment! When the batteries are sufficiently recharged it's time to let loose on the dance floor till the wee hours!!

Last years event was held on the 1st August at the Radisson BLU Hotel & Spa in Ballincar. The main event was attended by Retro Ford and included some very popular trade stands, face painting, club merchandise and an outdoor BBQ, 232 cars on display, followed by a 70km run through Sligo/Leitrim, (and surprisingly some sunshine).

The club would like to thank everybody who attended & participated and we really appreciate all the hard work and effort that people went to in making the event so successful.
